The Italian Council of Ministers has approved draft legislation which will enable Italy to ratify the UPC Agreement.  Following that approval by the government last Friday (reported in this press release), the bill now passes to the parliament for approval, and it is expected that Italy will ratify the Agreement later this year.  Italy is also expected to host a local division of the UPC, probably located in Milan.
